The name itself tells the story of our resort. Dhikala Forest Lodge is located near to Dikhala zone, 30 Km from the Dhangadi gate inside the core area of Jim Corbett National Park. This is the reason why the lodge is rarely vacant and run on pre-booking basis. The resort provides you the close proximity to the beauty of nature and its charm in your life. The resort is surrounded by the Sal forest and its inhabitants in the sounds of Ramganga River, which adds experience to your travel.

Accommodation in ‘Dhikala Forest Lodge’

You can accommodate total 22 guest rooms and 24 dormitory beds (in two rooms) that could be booked through Forest Office of Ramnagar. It is the only Government-run accommodation in the area. The limited availability of rooms makes reservation beforehand necessary if you want to spot animals like elephants, deer of various species, Foxes, Chitas, etc. right next to your camp / tent. One library & reading room is also available at Dhikala, Wildlife movies are important part of Dhikala evenings.

Restaurant is available at Dhikala Tourist Complex, Where buffet meals are served with varieties of good food quality. You can get the choice of food mentioned in the restaurant menu at very inexpensive rates. One small general store is also available with canteen in Dhikala where daily use item can be purchased.

How to Reach ‘Dhikala Forest Lodge’

You can reach us by any of the three modes road, train or air.

By Air: Phoolbagh, Pantnagar at a distance of 50 km is the nearest airport. Delhi at a distance of 300 km is the nearest international airport.

By Rail: Ramnagar is on the broad gauge track from where the road transport options have to be availed to reach the park.

By Road: Dhikala is 300 km from Delhi, 410 km from Lucknow and 51 km from Ramnagar.

The route from Delhi spans Hapur-Murababad-Ramnagar. The turn off is some 7 km beyond Muradabad to the left, marked by a small board. The route from Lucknow spans Bareilly. Kichha. Rudrapur. Doraha. Kashipur.

Dhikala is accessible via Ramnagar, Dhangari gate is main entrance for Dhikala Forest Lodge, Dhangari gate is located 19 kms away from Ramnagar and Dhikala Tourist Complex is 32 Kms away from Dhangari Gate.
